Youth Forum Meeting: Wednesday 27th June 2018

Youth Forum Meeting: Wednesday 27th June 2018

Each school that attends the Youth Forum tells the other schools a little about what they have been doing.

At the meeting on 27th June 2018 Jack and Olivia told the Forum that all the children were still working hard at Grange but that lots of classes have had (or will have) trips to enjoy. They (and year 6) would be having a residential trip to Belchamps Scout Activity Centre in Essex shortly. Year 4 have recently visited Tunstall Forest and learned things about Anglo-Saxon times such as making fire, carving with a knife and weaving bracelets. Years 1 and 2 would be going to Foxburrow Farm very soon and several classes would be going on local trips - to the library or the beach.  They were also looking forward to Sports Day and were hoping the good weather continues! They were very proud when Grange won the Rounders tournament against other Felixstowe Schools as Grange is a small school. This was a great achievement!

They also told the forum that we have had our official opening of our new library, where we had invited people who had helped us out with their time or money to come and have a look. Children from Years 2 and 3 told the visitors what they enjoyed about reading and recited poems.

Jack, Olivia and Year 6 are now working hard on their end of term play "Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits".  They have not yet thought about their time at Grange coming to an end, but they are sure once they do some tears will be shed!

Jack and Olivia also said how much they have enjoyed coming to the Youth Forum and hope that Ruby and Tobi, who will be their replacements, will find it as informative and entertaining as they have.
